I'm still not exactly sure what I want to do with these bows yet. I was just having fun experimenting with my colorwork skills...like doodling with yarn or something! Haha. I have a few ideas and I can't wait to see how they turn out.
Now I'm just getting ready for my family to come to town for graduation weekend! There is lots of cleaning and dusting going on around here. I actually get really anxious during events like this...where I'm the person being "celebrated" and everything. It makes me even more nervous than usual. I guess I worry that people won't have a good time. That's so silly, isn't it? I always put too much stress on things. I've been waiting and waiting for this day...I just need to enjoy it!
I think I'll work on these intarsia bows some more and relax.
What projects are you working on?

They look good! I like the colur choices. Interested to see what you decide to do with them :)
ReplyDeleteI hope you have fun when your family are in town and that you have a great graduation! x
happy graduation weekend!
ReplyDeleteI Love how those bows turned out<3 Im working on a mini crocheted pig ( for a necklace) and Im really happy with it. It is also my last semester of college (visual art) so Im working really hard on the pieces for my final exhibition. You know how it is i guess...

I love these, especially the charcoal and orange one! Have you thought of making wrist cuffs (like the cheesy exercise arm bands) style bracelets with them? That would be so cute!!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on finishing school!
xx, C
They're very cute - would make a lovely garland. Congrats on finishing college. :)
ReplyDeleteI think they would be great pieced together and then make a pillow out of them all. Currently, I'm knitting up a bag from yarn that I dyed called "Hogwarts Harmony"... yeah, I know... I'm too geeky for words.. lol.
ReplyDeleteYou should make them into a bunting! It'd be super cute :)
ReplyDeletelove them! they would make a cute bunting. oh i also love the idea of a patch bow pillow!
ReplyDeleteright now i'm working on a crocheted market bag... http://meredithannetaylor.blogspot.com/2012/05/on-hook-chevron-market-bag.html
hope you have a great party!
Those are so cute!
ReplyDeleteI'm currently working on a bright pink drop-stitch vest that I'm almost done with the front of and I'm working on the second of a pair of brown socks.
I am working on a ridiculously elaborate embroidery project that I'm sure won't be finished until 2036. And a hand-knit cardigan. And I'm really hoping to make a quilt for my bed for cool summer nights. You know--in my free time:)
ReplyDeleteLOVE the bows, BTW. I'm pinning them--
Those are beyond darling! xo, rv

You could double-knit future ones and turn them into reversible coasters! That would be super cute.
ReplyDeleteI'm finally almost done with the Old Forge blanket by Stephen West that I'm doing in gold & gray. Each row takes foreeeeever because it's 600 stitches for around half the blanket.

ReplyDeleteSo cute! My first thought was bunting, but I'm not the only one... You could sew them all together and make a long skinny scarf to wear? :)
xox,

A skinny scarf would be beautiful!!
ReplyDeleteMy last project was this bear with a big bouquet of flowers http://a-ideas-a.blogspot.com/2012/05/bear-with-big-bouquet-of-flowers.html. And now I try to make coloful owl with photoframe:)
ReplyDeleteI don't have free time, it's my the biggest problem:) I am writing my final paper and all my free time I am spending on this workr.
Meredith, these are always!!!
ReplyDeleteAt the moment I'm working on crochet coasters,I'm thinking of hanging them like bunting, with tiny wooden pegs that are heart shaped to attach them to the cord, I can't stop making them they are addictive !
ReplyDeleteso cute <3
ReplyDeleteThese look great, I'm jealous! ...sadly I don't know how to do intarsia knitting, I need to go on a course to learn how.
ReplyDeleteThese would look great on the front of a cardigan, maybe just on one side(or both!)
At the moment I'm knitting socks!
x
Oooh they are really cute. You could make a bow-patchwork pillowcase?
ReplyDeleteAwww they look fab! You are v clever! I started to knit a scarf - used 2 balls of wool and never got round to buying the 3rd ball to finish it off... :( It wasn't the best attempt anyway!
ReplyDeleteHello :D I'm from Portugal and I follow you through Instagram and here.. I love everything you do, the way you take photos and your relaxed way of living life. Right now I'm working on my first blanket made of grannysquares.
ReplyDeleteCan you show us the tutorial for these bows?
Kisses from Portugal :D
These bows are so sweet! Love them! :)
ReplyDeleteFabulous. Would you share your pattern, or direct me to a site? Your site is very inspiring and happy.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely love the bows! I'm currently working on an easy scarf in eyelash wool x
ReplyDeleteHi! I'm new here, your blog is really sweet and inspiring. Wouldn't those bows look super cute stitched onto a sweater or coat as pockets?
ReplyDeleteKitty xo
Kitty & Buck.
I agree with the person above me ^, pockets would be so cute!!
ReplyDeleteAlso, I love this sentence: "You know me...crazy Meredith...knitting bows for fun. Woo! ;-)" You're awesome! HEE.
Regarding projects I'm working on, I think my biggest one at the moment is trying to get organised! I am not an organised person, but I have my fingers in so many pies right now that I'm finding it hard to cope!!

I love your photos. And it was fun watching the bottom of your gold/black bow tie curl....over and over again! Congratulations on your graduation. Bask!
ReplyDeleteThose knitted bows are adorable! I'm just starting to knit (a scarf!) and came across your beautiful site.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on finishing college. Although I am occasionally nostalgic for college (never law school!), life after homework is so much better, even with a demanding job. Coming home and not having to worry about additional tasks is lovely. Then you can knit bows on a whim and stuff. :) So enjoy!
Very very cute! I'm curious to what you will be turning them into!
ReplyDeleteI'd be interesting in getting a tutorial in HOW to knit intarsia. I've tried and tried and it always ends up looking pulled and awkward. Any tips?
ReplyDeleteBowties are cool!
ReplyDeleteI love these... I'm not a confident knitter (more of a crochet girl) but would love to know how you made these?
ReplyDeleteAny chance of a tutorial?
Cheers from rainy England.
