On most nights, I end my day with a cup of sleepytime tea. It is so soothing, especially with a squeeze of honey. So, for no other reason than I just really love tea, I embroidered this little teacup. Sometimes it is nice to take a minute and get creative for no reason at all. Simple things like this keep me inspired to learn more and create more. :)
What have you made lately just for fun?

this is the prettiest! :) i totally need to try this. home sick with time on my hands so it'd make sense

ReplyDeleteIn answer to your question, I've been playing in the kitchen just for fun. Trying to perfect the chocolate chip cookie; making and freezing bran muffins for breakfasts; lemon bread made from the meyer lemons loaded on our tree right now. So fun....but embroidery is fat free, isn't it?
How cute!!! I recently started a project for my friend's bridal shower...I'm making name tags for her bridal shower. They are glass slippers made out of card stock with calligraphy letters! =)

Well, looks like I'm going to have to go buy ALL THE EMBROIDERY FLOSS. I know each little color is cheap by itself, but there's SO MANY COLORS.

ReplyDeletewhat a cool idea. I never would have thought of keeping an embroidery journal, that's such a fun way to see how new designs will work and practice your skills at the same time. I looked at your past posts and the "UP" house is so cool :)

ReplyDeleteYou have really inspired me to try embroidery! Lately I have been working on a sweater just to help Spring arrive more quickly. I finished seaming it when I watched Downton Abbey.
